PRAXIS - Institute for Participatory Practices Announces 5th INTERNATIONAL THEMATIC PRA TRAINING WORKSHOP Thrissur, Kerala, India 16 – 27 September, 2001 WORKSHOP THEMES Different themes will be handled simultaneously in parallel modules for the full duration of the workshop. The themes likely to be covered during the workshop include:
PRA - Basics & Principles, Participatory Monitoring & Evaluation, Participatory Research and Poverty Assessment, Participation and Education, Participatory Micro Level Planning PRA,
PRA - Training of Trainers Participation and Communication (including Participatory Video)
Any four themes would be finally selected based on the responses from the participants. About 25 participants would be selected for each theme. Applicants to mention two themes of interest (in order of priority) from the above themes. Prior experience in using participatory tools is necessary for all modules other than ‘PRA-Basics & Principles'.
Participants who are likely to facilitate community leadership would be given preference for Training of Trainers Module..See Training Opportunities section of the Open Forum for further details including contact name and email address
