Australian Evaluation Society CONSOLIDATE, INNOVATE, EXPAND International Evaluation Conference Canberra Wednesday 10 October to Friday 12 October 2001 Workshops 8, 9 October The aims of the conference are:
· to connect the diverse evaluation community
· learn new approaches, share experiences and exchange ideas · improve the partnership between managers, practitioners and the community
· attract and teach new evaluation practitioners

The venue is Rydges Canberra Hotel by Lake Burley Griffin.

Invited National and International Speakers
Pat Barrett, Commonwealth Auditor General (assurance and performance auditing)
Michael Raper, President Australian Council of Social Service (evaluating welfare services in an environment of reform)
Professor Mel Mark of Pennsylvania (realistic approaches to program evaluation.
Prof Mark is also the editor of the American Journal of Evaluation)
Professor Lawrence Green of USA Health (health related program evaluation)
Dr Conrad Katzenmeyer of the National Science Foundation (evaluating research and building evaluation capacity for science and mathematics education)
Dr Judith Ottoson of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies Georgia State University will also be presenting a workshop or clinic on building evaluation capacity for overseas aid programs
