One World Trust- invitation to participate in on-line forum: "How does evaluation increase an organisation's accountability to stakeholders? What are the necessary conditions for this to occur? How do stakeholders need to be involved if accountability to them is to be increased? How can the power disparity between different stakeholders be addressed so that evaluation contributes to a balanced accountability within organisations? What is the relationship between reporting and auditing, and evaluation and accountability? As part of their research for the Global Accountability Project the One World Trust will be running an online discussion forum on 'Increasing Accountability through Evaluation' between 4th and 10th May 2005. The forum will include participants from NGOs, IGOs, business, public sector and academia and will encourage cross sector discussion and knowledge sharing, with the aim of enhancing the understanding of the role of evaluation in accountability.
