Monitoring without indicators is here! Most
Significant Change Technique Two day workshop: Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of September
2005, in Melbourne, Australia. Purpose
the workshop: • To understand what MSC is • To design
an MSC Process for your project Who should attend Anyone wanting to
know more about this emerging technique. It is for both beginners and
those more experienced in monitoring and evaluation. MSC has been
successfully applied in development contexts as well as the Australian
public sector. MSC works particularly well for complex, participatory,
social change interventions. Course description: MSC is a powerful tool
for monitoring, evaluation and organisation learning. MSC goes beyond
merely capturing and documenting beneficiary stories. Each story is
accompanied by the storyteller’s interpretation, and after
review, the stories are also accompanied by the reviewers’
interpretation. This technique is a great way for project teams and
organisations to capture evidence of impact and make sense it. The
first day of this workshop is aimed at helping participants to
understand how the technique works, its strengths and weaknesses and
how it complements other monitoring and evaluation tools. The second
day focuses on implementation, and participants will be invited to
develop a plan for how they can implement MSC for their project." For
